Early this month, an accident occurred that most likely changed the lives of several people forever and ended the life of a 21-year-old male. It was the young man that was behind the wheel of a car on April 4, carrying two passengers at the time. They were heading east on County Road 42 when a car crossed the center lane and struck their vehicle head on.
The Village-News report did not include details about what may have caused the second vehicle to cross the center lane, but what was clear to the Florida Highway Patrol was that this car accidentwas a catastrophic one. As noted above, the young man never survived the injuries suffered in the collision and he was pronounced dead on site by members of the Marion County Fire Rescue.
The two passengers survived the collision, but they suffered injuries that required immediate medical attention. Both of these victims were taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center, one with reportedly serious injuries and the other with critical ones.
When accidents happen, they occur in a matter of seconds. There is no better saying than “it all happened so fast.” After a collision, victims are often left with more questions than answers. Why did this happen to me? How did this happen? Was I the victim of a texting driver? Was the other driver drunk? How much will I have to pay for this? What do I do next?
An individual’s recovery from injuries is the number one priority after an accident, but consulting with an Ocala personal injury attorney shouldn’t be far behind. A family member can contact the attorney to get the process started, because critical evidence could be lost the longer one waits.
